管习文1998年吉林大学博士毕业后到2002年期间在德国和巴西从事博士后研究。2003-2012期间在澳大利亚国立大学(ANU)物理与工程研究院任研究员、高级研究员,2012年10任中科院精密测量科学与技术创新研究院研究员。他担任国家科技部重点科学研究计划项目的首席和多项国家自然科学基金重点项目主持人。同时是美国哈佛大学、洛斯阿拉莫斯国家实验室等世界一流研究机构的高级访问教授,自2016任ANU的荣誉教授。现任《Journal of Physics A》的执行编辑。
管习文长期从事冷原子少体和多体物理系统和自旋系统的严格解研究,取得了一系列在国际上颇具影响力的研究成果。至今发表140余篇SCI论文,包括世界物理顶尖期刊《Science》、《Review of Modern Physics》、《Advance in Physics》、《Nature》子刊、《National Science Review》、《Physical Review Letters》等。
报告内容:
The non-equilibrium dynamics of a supersonic impurity injected into one-dimensional (1D) medium of quantum liquid can exhibit collective features of quantum flutter. This phenomenon presents a coherent oscillation between the exciton- and polaronic-like states based on the variational wave function approach. However, a rigorous understanding of the supersonic impurity dynamics beyond the variational wave functions is still challenging.
In this talk, building on Bethe ansatz and form factor, we will report on rich features of quantum flutter and revival of a supersonic impurity in the medium of 1D bosonic liquid. We show that two types of eigenstates elegantly determine the oscillation nature of the quantum flutter with a periodicity which is simply given by the the charge and spin dressed energies. While we also observe quantum revival dynamics with a larger periodicity that essentially reveals the quantum reflection of excitations induced by the periodic boundary conditions of a finite length $L$. Our results reveal a microscopic origin of quantum supersonic phenomenon and shed light on quantum resources in measurement of the gravitational force.
