张伟平，数学家，中国科学学院院士，发展中国家科学院院士、国际数学家大会报告人。曾任陈省身数学研究所所长，获香港求是科技基金会“杰出青年学者奖”(1995)、第三世界科学院数学奖(2000)、“中国十大杰出青年”(2001)、中国数学会陈省身数学奖(2003)、全国先进工作者(2005)、国家自然科学奖二等奖(2005)等荣誉和奖励。第十、十一届全国政协委员。
报告内容：
The existence of Riemannian metrics of positive scalar curvature on a manifold is an important problem in differential geometry. For example it is closely related to the positive mass theorem in general relativity. We will discuss some recent progress in this subject.
