报告人简介：
André Oliveira Sawakuchi is a Full Professor in Sedimentology and Quaternary Geochronology at the Institute of Geosciences of the University of São Paulo. He is also the head of the Luminescence and Gamma Spectrometry Laboratory (LEGaL). His research focuses on understanding how climate and sea level changes affect fluvial and coastal systems and their associated ecosystems in several timespans. This is investigated though the application of optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) and thermoluminescence (TL) methods to reconstruct sediment movement from source to sink across space and through time.
报告内容：
Amazonia in the South American tropics hosts the highest biodiversity on Earth. The origin of the immense Amazonian biodiversity is still under debate and the influence of landscape changes on the distribution and origin of species occupies the core of this debate. This talk will focus on connections among climate, rivers and distribution of bird species specialized in seasonally flooded environments in Amazonia across space and through the Quaternary.
