报告人简介：
Professor Tao Wang is a chair professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). He has 30 years of experience in atmospheric environment studies using laboratory, field, and modelling techniques, with more recent research focusing on radical chemistry, heterogeneous processes, and nitrogen and halogen chemistry. He coordinated several large research projects funded by Hong Kong Research Grants Council and served as the chief scientist for a China’s National Basic Research Project on acid rain (2005-2010). He is editor of Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics, vice chair of the Atmospheric Environment Division of China Environmental Sciences Society, founding fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Qualified Environmental Professionals, scientific advisor of the Hong Kong Observatory. He has published over 250 papers in international journals and received PolyU President’s Awards for Excellent Performance/Achievement in Research (2017/18) and Second-class Awards from the Ministry of Education (2009, 2022) and Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China (2010, 2022).
报告内容：
Reactive oxidized nitrogen (RON) plays important roles in atmospheric chemistry, air quality, acid depositions, and climate. This talk will give an overview of research from my group on sources, atmospheric processes, and air quality impact of RON, with special focus on nitrous acid (HONO).
